Meet the Bridesmaids & Groomsmen
Salut! I’m Jeffanne, born in Brooklyn, NY but grew up in Port-de-Paix, Haiti. I went to Oglethorpe University for undergrad, where I first met Lilly (yay!). I worked briefly for Kaplan Test Prep prior to going to medical school at GWU in Washington, DC. I am now a general surgery resident at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, LA. I enjoy traveling, learning new languages, cooking, writing poetry (Lilly loves them J ), and wine tasting. I am very excited and feel very fortunate to be part of Lilly and George’s special day!
Candice is George’s younger sister. She is a Graphics & UX/UI Designer at Limelight Platform, an Event Marketing Agency. Based in downtown Toronto, she lives with her boyfriend Connor, a black cat, a bearded dragon, 35 fish, a turtle, and a Florida Pine Snake. She also enjoys axe throwing, a good cider, baking goods, and long bubble baths.”
Hello my name is Zarah and I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I graduated from University of Arizona back in 2010 and am a true Wildcat at heart! Afterwards, I decided to follow through with Teach for America as a 6th grade middle school teacher in New Mexico. Currently, I am in dental school in San Francisco where I was fortunate to have met Lilly. During my spare time I love painting, reading, dancing, and most of all playing video games! If you are ever looking for a good laugh, come find me! 🙂
I grew up in Southern California where I spent most of my time at Disneyland with my friends. I went to UC Irvine for undergrad(where I continued my Disneyland habit) and then worked two years in a dental office before heading to UCSF for dental school, where I met Miss Lilly. We instantly hit it off because we discovered we were both grandmas and liked staying at home and watching movies instead of going out to party! I love that we always have each other as an excuse to not go out, “well Lilly isn’t going either!” has been said many times on my part. She and George are an amazing POWER couple and I am very blessed to be able to spend this special day with them!
Meet The Groomsmen
Georges’ Older Brother has been in the hotel & restaurant management business. He is excited to see his younger brother get married.
George… you see the picture of me above? That’s our turbocharged “get away car”!!!! If you get cold feet you can always jump in and…
Just teasing, Lilly! I am so, so happy for you guys! I love George like a brother and I am honored & thrilled to participate in the celebrations of your most special and sacred day. It is my prayer that your love and life together will be abounding with absolutely excessive amounts of joy… and… well… fecundity. There is a secret that George asked me never to share… but… my mama used to tell me secrets are meant for sharing!
Years ago, George told me that he is hoping to have a dozen or so (give or take) children. And he’s hoping to name them all “The Great Georgeinator.” We can all talk about this later. I will chip in for the professional counseling.
‘Bout me: former high school teacher, anatomy instructor, “Nutty Professor” tutor (ask George), chiropractor, currently finishing first year of medical school in Philadelphia.
Interests: chasing my wife around, tennis, baseball, exercising, exotic cars, real estate, visits to the beach, warm weather, overseas travel
It is hard to believe I have known The Great Georgenator for just about 20 years now since we graduated Rutgers together. George is that guy that gets away with stunts no one else would possibly pull off – and, even more incredibly, people embrace him for it. He comes into town on short notice. I’ll curse him out, he’ll laugh and say he’ll be at my house in 12 hours and somehow everything works out and we’re downing pictures of sangria 13 hours later continuing right where we left off and often rehashing the same stories that seem to get better every time they are told (at least for George and me). I never know when he’ll surface but his arrival is always anticipated – and it’s never boring.
George would tell his college professors “well it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that…” and instead of failing him, they call him the Rocket Scientist and he’d quickly become a favorite. This same guy counseled troubled college students, broke up a domestic violence situation, got a student out of a dangerous cult and somehow had time to hold about 18,000 jobs on campus. I could go on. George made, and I know he continues to make, a distinct impression on anyone he meets. There are many people I feel blessed to have known, but with George, the word “honored” and “humbled” just seem more appropriate. And I can see George with his hearty laugh just eating this up. I’m just glad I’m on his side.
It seems fitting that such a noble would land an amazing fiancé like Lilly, whom my wife and I clicked with from the moment we met her. This is the first wedding since my own that I’m actually looking forward to attending. This is also the first wedding website that I actually looked at in its entirety because I knew it wouldn’t be boring and I could learn more about Mysterious George. Can’t wait to see you both and celebrate the most important day of your lives. Oh yeah: I’m an attorney (don’t hold that against me, studies have shown that 5.71% of us are great people, 3.96% of the time), born and raised in New Jersey, double Rutgers grad with a beautiful wife and two boys, aged 5 and 7.
